Film entered in Albania in 1911-1912 years. It was shown firstly in cities of Shkodra and Korca.
First cinemas as public institutions stood up by privats after WW1 in cities as Vlora,Korca,Tirana,Shkodra,Berat.
First fillms were made br foreigns;they were chronicles.
First chronicle talking about Albania's events was connected with "Congress of Manastir" (1908),which sanctioned first albania alphabet.
During 30 years after Albania announced indipedence (1912) were shooted mainly chronicles,
documentaries from foreign home cinemas of Europe or USA,also from amateurs.
Immidiately after WW2 created from the state Albanian Agency of Movies (1945),
which later become in Cinematographic State Enterprise (1947), when all was controled by state.
In this time started shooting of first chronicles movies and in May of 1948 was shown first albanian newsreel.
